Bella's glam black and white portrait shoot

I’m so excited to share these portraits of the lovely Bella. I’ve had a recent obsession with black and white photography and was thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph Bella in the medium.

Still just a teenager, Bella has a real youthfulness about her that I wanted to shine through in her portrait set. It’s very easy for black and white photographs to become overtly sultry and grown up, but Bella is only sixteen. It was important to me that we celebrate Bella’s youth and girlishness and not make her look too grown up.

I was initially envisioning Sophia Loren as the inspiration for this shoot, but when I met Bella and learned how old she was, we decided to use Audrey Hepburn as inspiration for the shoot instead. I’m very happy with the results.
