Local business spotlight: Picture Perfect Pooch

Friend and fellow Vancouver business owner Lindsie Arbeiter of Picture Perfect Pooch (a dog walking/sitting business based in East Vancouver) recently came to me looking to get some updated portraits done for her business’ social media. I usually work out of a studio, so it was a lot of fun getting to go on location for a change to create some images that reflect her company’s brand.

I also sat down with Lindsie to ask her a couple of questions about her business and this is what she had to say:

1) Describe your business in one sentence.

The cutest dogs in the city are here in our pack.

2) How long have you been in business?

4 years but I have been dog sitting my entire adult life.

3) Have there been any surprises along the way?

Many surprises! Everyday is a different adventure getting to know each individual breed and all their funny personalities. They are smart little rascals and each dog needs a unique kind of care and attention.

4) What separates you from other dog walker/dog sitting businesses?

The extra TLC and in-home care is what separates us. Dogs become like a member of our family when joining our pack.

2) Can you tell us one pro tip about dogs you’ve picked up along the way?

When dogs learn to socialize in a safe and fun way, such as during structured group walks, they not only get to burn off all their excess energy but they also get the opportunity to play with other dogs, improve their recall skills, and become better at commands.
