The week in photography
Sooo…I’m going to try and do this more often. This week I happened to read some wonderful articles on photography that contain stunning images. My favorites this week are:
1) Surprised by a giant jellyfish, a BBC article with amazing photographs of (as the title of the article mentions) a giant jellyfish as photographed off the coast of Cornwall, England by underwater photographer and cinematographer, Dan Abbott.
2) This article over at The Atlantic which features some truly amazing documentary photographs of synchronized swimmers participating in the 2019 Artistic-Swimming World Championships. Click here to see the photos.
3) ‘Without photography I wouldn’t be here.’ A great article on The Guardian about photographer Daniel Reagan’s use of the medium to express both his mental health struggles and recovery.
4) The Audubon Photography Awards, featuring some truly incredible wildlife photographs (I myself do not have one-tenth of the necesary patience required to photograph wildlife and have the utmost respect for photographers that do).
5) Lastly, a lovely little article on F-Stoppers about why photography gear isn’t as big a deal as you may think it is.
