Group corporate headshots for Vancouver's Real Estate Works (REW)
This job was a truly fun one. It was a delight, an honor, and a blast getting to come into the headquarters of Real Estate Works in Vancouver and do corporate headshots for the entire team there (below are a selection of those headshots from Day 2 of the shoot). Although perhaps ‘corporate headshots’ is not the right term as I was strictly forbidden from using the word ‘corporate’ for these business portraits- rather, the mission was to create something iconic with these headshots.
And I think we were able to do just that for the movers and shakers over at REW.
I’m particularly excited to share this batch of group corporate headshots because these portraits perfectly illustrate the way in which corporate headshots and business portraits are evolving. Stuffy, personality-lacking corporate photos are simply not where it’s at anymore. Today, companies are pushing for online business imagery that reflects the humanity of the people behind them and it’s so very exciting for me as a photographer to be a part of this trend.
For the team at Real Estate Works, I was fortunate to get about 20 minutes with each person I photographed, which allowed enough time to connect with my subjects without having to rush. This, in turn, helped the people I was photographing to relax, which then resulted in the moments captured below.

This was a 2-light setup: a Profoto D1 in a softlighter umbrella camera right and a gridded profoto B1 behind the subject, also camera right.)
